About Us
LOCATION
The Oliver Fire Department is located one block east of Oliver's main street Highway 97 at 9399 -346th Avenue. Administration offices and all equipment are housed here. The Oliver Detachment of the RCMP is located across the street from this location.

COMPOSITION
The department currently consists of 33 A List firemen and 9 B List firemen (some of which are Lifetime members) and 11 Lifetime List firemen. A List members are the frontline firemen, who carry pagers and respond to every call. Lifetime firemen have been serving our department for 25 years or more and have all the privileges of an A List member.

A List firemen who no longer feel they can meet the demands required of an A List member cam move to B List if they would still like to remain part of the department or if they have 25 years or more to the Lifetime list.

B List firemen remain on the fan out list to be called in the event of a major incident or when there is a shortage of A List firemen available.

ADMINISTRATION
The department administration consists of 1 Fire Chief, 1 Deputy Fire Chief and 4 Captains designated 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.There are also 12 Officer who look after a variety of responsibilities in the department.

PRACTICES
The department holds practices every Thursday night starting at 7:30 pm except for the 1st Thursday of each month, which is devoted to department business.
